Following Neymar’s record-breaking €222 million move to Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month, his former employers have been linked with numerous targets who could fill that massive gap alongside Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi.

One of those names is Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele, who looks to have made it his mission to depart Borussia Dortmund this month and join the Catalan side after recent developments.

After learning of the serious interest from the Camp Nou side, the 20-year-old winger decided to skip training last week, with manager Peter Bosz confirming that they tried and failed to find his whereabouts and he has been fined and suspended from training for one week for his efforts.

The Bundesliga side also released an official statement claiming that they had, in fact, met with Barca representatives to thrash out a deal between the clubs, but they fell short of their valuation for the French international with the German side wanting around €150 million.

While they failed in that approach, Spanish publication Sport has now revealedthat negotiations between both clubs are progressing very quickly with an official agreement moving closer – with Dortmund reportedly accepting a massive offer from Barca of €100 million up-front for Dembele.
