Van Persie is one stupid motherf**er' - Wife of Besiktas defender reacts after derby red card

Dusko Tosic's wife, popstar Jelena Karleusa lashed out at the Netherlands international as his dive got the defender sent off in the Istanbul derby.

Robin van Persie's theatrics during the Istanbul derby between Besiktas and Fenerbahce saw the hosts end the game with 10 men, angering the wife of defender Dusko Tosic.

The Serbia international saw red following a confrontation with the former Manchester United forward falling to the ground after what looked like minimal contact between the pair.

Following the red card, Tosic had to be held back by his team-mates as he tried to engage van Persie before leaving the field.

Fenerbahce went on to win 1-0 thanks to a late goal from the Netherlands international, sending them in to the last eight of the Turkish Cup.

After the game, Jelena Karleusa posted a strongly worded message on Twitter defending her husband and attacking Van Persie, writing "R. van Persie is one stupid motherf**ker. Brake a leg asshole!"

Karlesusa is a successful Serbian pop star, and has sold millions of albums in the Balkans, while Tosic is a former QPR defender who has 19 caps for his national side.

After the derby defeat, Besiktas midfielder Oguzhan Ozyakup discussed the altercation between Tosic and his former Arsenal team-mate, saying that he saw a new side to van Persie.

"I have a lot to say about the incidents on the field. But I won't say them," the 24-year-old told reporters. 

"Just one thing: I was very good friend wtih a certain player on the field. That changed today. Sometimes you see the real face of a footballer on the field."
